Ceiling Tiles

Armstrong offers high-performance ceiling tiles with a modern, clean, and smooth appearance. They are available in 24″ x 24″ tegular and square styles, as well as 24″ x 48″ tegular styles.

Difference Between Tegular and Square Ceiling Tile Styles

Tegular ceiling tiles feature recessed edges that create a dimensional look, while square tiles have flat edges that sit flush with the grid for a clean, uniform finish. Both styles suit different aesthetics, with tegular offering depth and square providing a minimalist design.

Ceiling Grids

The main difference between 5/16″ and 9/16″ ceiling grid sizes lies in their width and aesthetic appeal:

15/16″ Grid
Known as the 1-inch face T-bar grid or 1-inch wide grid, the 15/16″ grid system is the most widely used. It is compatible with both 2′ x 2′ and 2′ x 4′ ceiling tiles, making it a versatile and practical choice.

9/16″ Grid
The 9/16″ grid system, often referred to as a fine line or narrow suspended ceiling system, offers a more modern aesthetic. Its sleek design has become increasingly popular in various settings.

Both sizes are functional and compatible with various ceiling tiles, but the choice often depends on the design preference and purpose of the space.
